As of March 12th, 2022, Washington state and King County lifted requirements for indoor mask wearing and large gatherings. However, businesses may ask patrons to wear masks. As of 06/2022, we've confirmed that our ceremony venue, Bastyr Chapel, will be requiring masks indoors. We will provide masks for guests to wear. Our reception venue, McMenamins Anderson School in Bothell, does not require masks. Our wedding will be black tie optional. For a black tie optional wedding, men can wear a tuxedo, but it's not a requirement. If they end up going tuxedo-less, they should wear a formal dark suit and tie instead. Women can go the long evening gown route, but a dressy suit or shorter cocktail dress is fine too.

The weather in the Pacific Northwest can be unpredictable, even in early summer. Best be prepared with the light jacket and/or umbrella in case it rains. Both of our ceremony and reception will take place indoors, but the parking lots will be uncovered.

We kindly request an "unplugged" ceremony for the enjoyment of our wedding party and guests. Not to worry, we are planning specific, designated opportunities for picture-taking before, during, and after the ceremony. As for our reception, we kindly ask that the lion dance and first dance be phone-free. Otherwise, feel free to snap away!

In lieu of a traditional wedding registry, we have an online honeymoon fund. At the reception, we will have a station for accepting cards. We appreciate your gift!
